    Saudi Arabia enforces National Address rule for parcels, imposes fines

    Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority (TGA) has begun implementing a demand that all parcel deliveries include a signed up National Address, alerting that delivery business will certainly face charges if they accept or transportation shipments without one.

    According to a press release issued by the authority, the choice came into force on January 1, 2026 Under the guideline, parcel shipment companies are forbidden from approving any kind of postal delivery that does not consist of a National Address.

    The TGA stated the action forms part of its initiatives to regulate the parcel shipment industry, enhance the performance of delivery procedures, enhance the high quality of services given to beneficiaries, and minimize unnecessary interaction between delivery messengers and customers.

    The authority confirmed that the existing phase consists of the enforcement of monetary fines versus non-compliant companies, in accordance with the pertinent regulative frameworks. Penalties start at SAR 5, 000 and can reach up to SAR 50, 000 for business that stop working to comply with the requirement.

    All business operating in the postal parcel transportation sector were prompted to comply with the accepted directions and make sure that every shipment consists of a National Address. The authority said this would certainly sustain the sustainability of the market and enhance the delivery experience for beneficiaries throughout all regions of the Kingdom.

    The TGA likewise reminded people that they can verify their National Address through the main National Address system, as well as via the Absher, Tawakkalna, Sehhaty, and Saudi Message platforms.
